This year's conference will be held at the Westin Portland Harborview in Portland, Maine. APHSA has negotiated a room rate of $169 for a king bed per night plus applicable taxes and fees. (Currently at 9% tax rate per room/per night. These fees are subject to change). Other room types are available at higher rates.

The closing date of hotel block is Monday, April 17, 2017. Make sure that you make your reservations prior to this date to obtain the discounted conference rate.

Cancellation Policy
Hotel rooms may be cancelled without penalty up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date. No shows or late cancellations will be charged one night’s room rate and tax.

The Westin is sold out on Thursday, May 18. If you are traveling to Portland on this day, we have rooms at a $139 rate at the Holiday Inn By-the-Bay, just a 4-minute walk from the Westin. To make a reservation for Thursday ONLY,call 207-775-2311 and make your reservation before Tuesday, April 18. The Holiday Inn does offer a complimentary shuttle to take you to the Westin on Friday morning. Ask for the American Public Human Services Association block to ensure the $139 rate.

Use of Debit Cards

When an individual uses a bank debit card to pay for their hotel room, the hotel may secure all funds for the entire reservation at the time of check-in plus a small fee per day for incidentals.

Transportation – How Do I Get to Portland?
When traveling to the ICPC Business Meeting and Child Welfare Conference, you have two options for air travel and ground transportation.
Option 1: Fly directly to Portland International Jetport (PWM) and take the complimentary shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Complimentary shuttle transportation to and from the Portland International Jetport is available to hotel guests based on availability from 5:00am – 11:00pm. Option 2: Fly into Boston Logan International Airport (BOS):

You can reserve a seat on the Concord Bus Line (Express Routes recommended) which will take you to Portland, ME. The average cost for a round trip ticket on the Concord Bus Line is $49.00. You will be required to reserve a seat in advance of your arrival into Boston.
